- Your talents have far more purpose than you can imagine. They aren’t there for no reason.
- Don’t let anyone tell you you’re too perfect, too innocent, too lacking in life experience. We need to see success through Jesus’ eyes, not culture’s. Leading a Bible study or not dating/sleeping around, or not getting caught up in drama at school…all these things don’t make us unsuccessful in life. In fact, we should be PROUD of those things regardless of what people say. The Bible says this in Philippians:
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.
According to the Bible, THIS is success.
3. God can ask us to do things that look crazy to the world…like saving our first kiss for the wedding day. But obedience to Him has to trump popularity with friends, or doing what will make us look “cool” or doing what we think looks “normal” and blending into culture. As Christ followers, we were born to stand out.
